Kids Market information and application form

The Warrandyte Festival Kids Market welcomes applications from local children to run a stall selling any home-made or home-grown goodies.

The kids market will run from 10.00am – 12.00pm

Set up: 9.30am (please note stall sites are not reserved)

Pack up: at 12.00pm


$10 (this price includes insurance)

Items that can be sold

Please note that this is an art and craft market. The Warrandyte Festival Kids Market is about homemade or homegrown items, in-line with Warrandyte Festival guidelines and policies.

Items that CANNOT be sold

  • **No food items due food handling requirements**
  • No manufactured or mass produced goods
  • All goods must be handmade or homegrown by the children selling the items at the market
  • No second hand goods, books, toys or clothes etc
  • Trash and treasure items may be donated to relevant community groups
  • No flaming products, play weapons or dangerous or harmful items

What to bring

  • Change and money tin
  • Homemade or homegrown goodies to sell
  • Card table to set up on (this is the size of the stall sites)
  • Sunscreen, hats and long-sleeves are recommended on the day, as it can get hot
  • Water bottle
  • Smiles!

Please note

  • Sites are not level as the Upper Reserve is on an incline
  • Due to insurance, please do not bring umbrellas. They are too dangerous

Driving/parking instructions

  • A drop-off zone at the old Scout’s bottle dump on Yarra Street, opposite the old petrol station, is available for parents/guardians to drop off and pick up children
  • In this area, you can drive in, drop off your kids and their goodies and then drive on to find a car park elsewhere
  • The drop off zone will be only for unloading, not for parking, and drivers will need to remain in their cars. Please bring an additional parent/ adult with you to help the kids carry their goodies to their sites

We hope this assists parents and kids and recommend that all items brought are easy to carry.

  • Paper-mache masks, piñatas
  • Beauty salon
  • Coloured sand activities
  • Home-made juggling balls (use balloons)
  • Decorate your own jewellery box
  • Shell necklaces/bangles
  • Jewellery
  • Finger puppets
  • Face painting
  • Busking – singing, instruments, poetry

Working towards a waste free event

  • Please avoid using non-recyclable and unnecessary packaging
  • Under no circumstances is polystyrene or glass to be used for packaging
  • No plastic bags please
